Weekly Progress

Week 4

This week was sort of a fail for me. To be completely honest, I slacked off pretty hard on this week’s health objectives. It was midterms week for me, so I was swamped with wrapping up my studies. It’s hard being a healthy student. The words “health” and “student” just seem like polar opposites. how is it even possible during testing seasons?

I think I took probiotics maybe 3 times out of the week and all the other days I either forgot or was just too lazy. Due to the stress of school, my stomach has been acting up as well too. After struggling with ulcers and digestion issues most of my childhood, stress really affects my body negatively. Since I stopped taking probiotics, I noticed the decrease in my performance.

As for my water intake, I haven’t been consistent with it due to the lack of time. I was not able to drink as much as I would have liked to. I drank around 16-32 ounces each day which is really sad. I have also noticed that when I was drinking an appropriate amount of water my skin reacted very well, whereas this week— with the added stress, my skin hated me. Hopefully, this week I will start getting back into the rhythm.

However, intermittent fasting, went pretty well this week, time-wise. I would not consider what I ate to be entirely healthy, but I did follow the time regime, 11 am to 6 pm. The first day was kind of rocky since I was starving till 11 and I grubbed out on food, but progressively I was able to manage the amount I ate. I have seen my weight shift as well; I’m not as bloated as before. Definitely feeling good about this new habit!
